About the portal

01News is a local news portal for Zagreb, Greater Zagreb. We cover news, sport, economy, crime and events from our region, with the context and local figures the wider media picture often leaves out.

Editorial principles

• Original text. We do not copy other outlets’ articles verbatim. We name and link our sources.
• Verification before publishing. In crime reporting we are restrained: we do not name victims and we state the source of every claim.
• Corrections. If we get something wrong, we publish the correction clearly and without delay. The procedure is on the Corrections & complaints page.
• Photos. We never present generic illustrations as footage of the actual event.
